Summary: The different color army soldiers in my piece represent different dna bases. The As and Cs constitute the Allied Powers, while the Ts and Gs make up the Axis Powers. Their interaction with each other represents the bonds between bases, and is shown through fighting between the two sides. I enforced a system in which transformations were made, where a base is replaced by the opposing side when attacked by two opposing soldiers simultaneously. I tried to show battle strategies by transforming the bases into formations that looked like battle formations.

Title: "The Art of Evolution"

Summary: My creative art project works with same principles as the works of such artists as Karl Sims and Stephen Rooke. The main idea is that the artwork is created using Charles Darwin's evolutionary process. The theory of natural selection was how finches in the Galapagos Islands started out as one common species, but evolved into many different types of birds in reaction to their environments. only the most favorable traits were passed on through the generations. my art project parallels this ideal, in that it starts out with five base works of art and evolves to form the final works of art. the artworks are combined through various steps, and each time only the most aesthetic traits are passed on. once the artwork has evolved through several generations, the resulting piece is a complex artwork that embodies only the most aesthetic components of the original pieces of art.
